It was a day of fun, laughter, generosity and community spirit as Corporate Sports Network (CSN) took its “giving back” mission to Love Uganda Foundation in Kalagi, Mukono District, on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
Held under the theme “Giving Back Through Impactful Partnerships”, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative brought together CSN members, corporate partners, stakeholders and community leaders to support vulnerable children and strengthen the welfare of the community.
The visit was more than just a handover of donations—it was a celebration of what can happen when corporate organisations come together with a shared purpose.
CSN Executive Chairman Kennedy Mpanga said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to using corporate sport as a platform for positive social change.

“We want sport to be more than competition. Through CSN, corporate organisations can come together, build relationships and contribute to communities in meaningful and practical ways,” Mpanga said. And the contribution was certainly practical.
CSN and its partners handed over a 10,000-litre rainwater harvesting tank and an energy-saving cooking stove to Love Uganda Foundation, helping address some of the organisation’s pressing water, energy and environmental challenges.

Corporate partners Harris International, Case Medical Services and East Flow Freight Services also joined the cause, donating an assortment of consumables, medicines and cement to support the children and the foundation.
Mpanga appreciated companies including Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL), Centenary Bank and DTB Bank, which made monetary contributions towards the initiative. He encouraged more companies to join hands with CSN and support communities in need.

But perhaps the most memorable part of the day came when the formalities gave way to fun and games.
The children of Love Uganda Foundation put on lively performances for their guests, filling the day with music, smiles and excitement. Guests and children then joined in a series of fun activities, including dance competitions and rope pulling, creating plenty of laughter and friendly competition.

It was a beautiful reminder that sometimes, giving back is not only about what you bring—it is also about the memories you create and the connections you build.
Love Uganda Foundation Director Robert Paul Kyeyune said the organisation’s biggest challenge remains securing a permanent home for the children. The foundation currently operates from rented premises and hopes to establish a permanent facility by 2027.
“We are grateful to CSN and its partners. We appeal for more corporate support to help us achieve our dream of having a permanent home for these children,” Kyeyune said.
Corporate Sports Network’s Director of Finance Moses Kaduyu also promised that the organisation would continue supporting the foundation beyond the visit.

By the time the CSN team and its partners were leaving Kalagi, it was clear that something special had happened. A day that began as a CSR visit had grown into a day of friendship, fun and genuine connection.
Florence Kizito, the convenor of the initiative, summed up the day in a statement. “The children were visibly happy, we (guests) are deeply touched, and a stronger bond has been created between CSN, its partners and the Love Uganda Foundation community,” she said.

Founded in 2006 as a community outreach initiative, Love Uganda Foundation has grown from supporting just 10 children into a registered national NGO dedicated to the welfare of vulnerable children. Today, the foundation cares for more than 20 children and has 10 caretakers.
For CSN, the message from Kalagi was simple: when sport brings people together, it can do much more than create winners—it can create positive change.
