Corporate Sports Network (CSN) will take its commitment to community development beyond the playing field next weekend when it hosts a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) day at Love Uganda Foundation Orphanage in Kalagi, Mukono District.

The CSR initiative, scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026, will see CSN and its partners support the Love Uganda Foundation through the launch and handover of community-focused projects, as well as the donation of essential items to the beneficiaries.

The initiative is part of CSN’s broader effort to use sport as a platform for creating positive social impact, bringing together corporate organisations not only to compete but also to contribute to communities in meaningful and practical ways.

At the centre of this year’s CSR project is the installation of a water harvesting system and an energy-saving kitchen stove, projects expected to improve the welfare and day-to-day operations of the beneficiaries.

According to CSN’s Exco member (Disciplinary) Florence Kizito, who is spearheading the project, substantial progress has already been made on the water harvesting system.

“The water tank has been installed, gutters fitted and piping works completed, bringing the project to the final stages ahead of the official handover. The installation of the energy-saving kitchen stove has also been completed. What is left is the official launch and handover to the beneficiaries.”

She reveals that CSN will also donate essential items to the Love Uganda Foundation as part of the day’s activities, ensuring that the CSR intervention goes beyond infrastructure to address some of the immediate needs of the community.

Centenary Bank, DTB Bank and Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) are among the organisations supporting the initiative, while Harris International is expected to join the drive with donations, including drinks and other goodies for the beneficiaries.

Kizito said the project reflects CSN’s desire to make its community engagement practical and sustainable, with interventions designed to leave a lasting impact on the beneficiaries.

The August 15 event will culminate in the official launch and handover of the completed projects, marking another chapter in CSN’s efforts to give back to the communities in which its corporate members operate.

“For us at CSN, the message is simple: the game may be played on the pitch, but the impact should be felt far beyond it,” Kizito concluded.
