The Corporate Sports Network (CSN) is set to bring together companies for an exciting day of sports, teamwork, networking and fun at the CSN October Outing, scheduled for Sunday, 25th October 2026, at Kampala Rugby Grounds, Lugogo (formerly Legends Club).

A programme released by the CSN secretariat indicates that activities will officially kick off at 8:30 AM, with all games running concurrently to ensure a full day of competitive action and entertainment.

The October Outing will feature four exciting competitions designed to test participants’ skills, endurance, teamwork and strategy. These include football (normal) and the 35+ category, woodball, and the eagerly anticipated tug-of-war.

According to the rule book, for woodball, teams will field four players with at least one lady on the team and will compete under a points-accumulation format.

For the tug of war, teams of ten members, including at least one lady, will battle for supremacy in an exciting knockout competition.

“All games will commence at 8:30 AM and run concurrently. Participating teams are reminded that walkovers will be enforced immediately after games kick off, making punctuality essential for all competitors,” Leslie Barigye, the CSN publicist, said.

Entry, Parking and Venue Guidelines

He reveals that CSN will cater for entrance and parking fees until 3:00 PM. Individuals arriving after 3:00 PM will be required to pay for their own entry and parking.

“All attendees are advised to collect their parking tickets at the entrance and keep them safe until departure. The tickets must be presented to the parking steward stationed at the gate when leaving the venue,” he said.

He also reveals that no hard drinks brought from outside the venue will be permitted, while particular beer brands available at Kampala Rugby Grounds will be sold at UGX 6,000. However, soft drinks are allowed. He emphasises that food is allowed for personal consumption but is not permitted for vending.

“Participants are advised to carry their National Identification Cards (NIDs) and work-related identification cards. Companies intending to set up at the venue may do so on Saturday, 24th October 2026, starting at 4:00 PM.”

Return of Rotational Trophies

Barigye also says that as companies prepare to compete for honours at this year’s outing, organisations currently holding rotational trophies are reminded to return them on 25th October 2026 to ensure they are available for the upcoming awards.

The companies and trophy categories are as follows:

Case Hospital: Basketball Winner

Centenary Bank: Soccer 35+ Winner

Centenary Bank: Volleyball Winner

DFCU Bank: 1st Runners-Up Overall

Hotel Africana: 2nd Runners-Up Overall, Netball Winner, Swimming Winner and Overall Winner

The return of these trophies is an important part of preparations for the competition and the recognition of outstanding performance among participating companies.
