Corporate Sports Network (CSN) has officially announced its 2026 activity plan, set to begin with an exciting soccer kickoff on 22nd February 2026 at the Legends Rugby Grounds.
Mr Charles Ssempagala, the General Manager, says that the opening soccer event marks the start of a full calendar of corporate sports activities aimed at promoting wellness, teamwork, networking, and healthy competition among professionals from diverse organizations. He anticipates intense competition and an increase in the projected number of the subscribed companies.
In the 2025 season, 36 companies contested in the diffrent disciplines and Quality Chemicals Industry Limited (QCIL) won the overall football trophy. In the 35+ manager’s game category, Centenary Bank overcame Stanbic Bank to win the coveted trophy. Hotel Africana were the overall 2025 champions after winning in most disciplines.
“As the flagship event of the year, the soccer games will bring together corporate teams, sports enthusiasts, and partners for a day of high-energy action. We shall only be having soccer for the first outing,” Mr Ssempagala said.
He revealed that before kickoff this season, the Board of Directors (BOD), Exco and the CSN secretariat will have a day-long retreat on 7th February 2026. This will be followed by a general meeting at Hotel Africana on February 13th, followed by a press conference at the same venue on February 16th at the same venue. ” We appeal to all the managers of the respective companies to endeavour to attend the general meeting, as their input on the day will help to shape the narrative of the league this year and beyond,” Ssempagala said.
On behalf of the Corporate Sports Network leadership, he noted that the 2026 season has been carefully designed to build on past successes while introducing fresh experiences for participants. “Our 2026 activity plan reflects our commitment to using sport as a powerful connector within the corporate community. Starting the year with soccer at Legends Rugby Grounds sets the tone for an exciting, competitive, and inclusive season,” he said.
He promised the companies to expect a structured calendar featuring multiple sports disciplines, enhanced matchday experiences for teams and spectators, and great opportunities for corporate branding, networking, and employee engagement.
