As part of Corporate Sports Networks’ commitment to transforming communities, this year’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative will focus on giving back to the community.

This year, CSN are partnering with Church of Uganda (COU) in one of its outreach programmes and will provide help to Kasanje and Kitende (COU) Primary schools in October.

Kasanje and Kitende Church of Uganda Primary Schools are educational institutions affiliated to the Church that provide primary education to children in the Kasanje and Kitende areas, respectively.

The schools focus on providing quality education rooted in Christian values. They are also known for promoting hygiene and community initiatives. However, lately, both schools have fallen on hard times and need help.

Simeon Bulezi Kauma, the Chairman of the CSN Exco, who is spearheading the initiative invited companies to contribute to the betterment of education in these schools through various initiatives.

Most of the CSR efforts towards the primary schools include providing resources, improving infrastructure, offering scholarships, and engaging in community development projects.

“We are grateful for the positive response from the managers who attended the managers’ meeting.

During our meeting, it was suggested that we (CSN) think of mobilising about Shs40m from our member companies. Proposal letters to that effect are being sent to the companies, and we hope for a positive response,” he said
