The Corporate Sports Network team (Board of Directors, Secretariat and new Exco) held an eventful retreat on Saturday at Dolphin Suites Bugolobi.

Mr Mike Kajubi, the chairman of the Board of Directors, in an opening address to the team, said the intention for the retreat was to strengthen team relationships, improve communication and align with the CSN goals.

“Ahead of the new season, which kicks off on 22nd February, we identified the need to improve team dynamics, boost morale and engage in strategic alignment. I am very pleased that we had a focused and uninterrupted time for brainstorming, planning and addressing the challenges at hand. All I can promise is a better organised league in 2026 and beyond,” Kajubi said.

He was equally elated that ahead of the kickoff, close to 40 companies have confirmed participation in the 2026 season.  Among these are a couple of new companies which were impressed by the way the league is run.

Mr Kajubi reminded team managers to endeavour to attend the manager’s meeting, which is slated for Friday, 13 February at  Hotel Africana.  “The meeting starts at 5 pm, and I expect full attendance from all the managers representing the companies,” he said.

The team was treated to a sumptuous lunch during the retreat

“We set a target to comfortably run the league with 40 companies, and we are on our way to achieve that.  This year, we haven’t added any new sports disciplines.  The companies will compete in football (normal and manager’s games), volleyball, darts, woodball, basketball, fun games, tug of war, swimming, pool, netball, and athletics,” he said.  Hotel Africana are the overall 2025 champions.
