The stage is set for another blockbuster showdown in the Corporate Sports Network (CSN) netball championship as familiar rivals, Hotel Africana and Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), storm into yet another final.
After a high-intensity outing at Jeph International University on Sunday, the two powerhouses proved—once again—why they remain the benchmark in corporate netball. But beyond the stats and scorelines, this final carries unfinished business.
Both sides delivered commanding performances on their way to the title clash:

Semi-finals

Africana’s march was as ruthless as ever, brushing aside opponents with clinical precision. UCAA, on the other hand, showed grit and composure, especially in their semi-final victory over a fancied Centenary Bank side.
This is more than just a final—it’s a rivalry simmering with tension.
Last year’s showdown between the two sides remains one of the most controversial in CSN history. Their first final ended in confusion, with disputes over the scoreline—some records reading 8–8, others giving Africana a narrow win. Exhaustion and disagreement forced a replay.
But when they met again weeks later, Hotel Africana delivered a crushing statement, thrashing UCAA 25–6 at Maroons Stadium in Luzira.
That result still stings.
UCAA returns with a clear mission: redemption. “We left Entebbe to come and fight for gold,” said UCAA’s manager. “We’ve put in a spirited performance, and this time we believe we can avenge last year’s defeat.”
Their campaign backs that belief—disciplined, resilient, and far more composed under pressure.
But standing in their way is a team that doesn’t just win—it dismantles.
Hotel Africana’s dominance has bordered on brutal. From a 23–0 demolition of Royal Van Zanten in the quarters to a composed 13–8 win over a fan-backed DTB Bank in the semis, they look every bit the defending champions.
So, can UCAA finally dethrone the queens of corporate netball?
They have the momentum. They have the motivation. But Africana have the experience—and a habit of turning finals into one-sided affairs.
One thing is certain: when these two meet, it’s never just a game.
