The Corporate Sports Network (CSN) Electoral Commission has declared Kennedy Mpanga as the duly elected Chairman of the CSN Exco, after elections held at Hotel Africana’s Katonga Hall.

According to official results released, Mpanga won over 80% of the total votes cast by the managers present.  Mpanga, who is currently the team manager for Stanbic Bank, defeated Charles Masereka (DTB Bank), Alfred Okia (Roofings Group) and Rogers Kasirye Pavlov of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).  Mpanga replaces the maiden Exco chairman, Simeon Kauma Bulezi, who led from inception in 2024

According to the CSN election guidelines, the 1st runner-up (the person in second position) automatically becomes the Vice-Chair, provided they attain 20% of the votes. However, after the elections, Okia and Kasirye tied for second position but did not attain 20% of the vote, which left the Board of Directors, in consultation with the Chairperson-elect, to appoint a suitable candidate.

In his manifesto, the chairman-elect, with a background of more than 7 years in the corporate sports environment, said his priorities will be to socialise the importance of CSN core values to ensure they are adhered to by the top executives and the subjects.  I will  emphasise integrity and accountability by adhering to professionalism by the teams and technical experts like referees. There shoiuld be transparency and more engagement, which will help us become exceptionally corporate,” he said
