The 35+ manager’s game finals was the last activity on the pitch as Corporate Sports Network marked yet another successful season.
The game, played at former Legends Rugby Grounds, was a spectacle as fancied Centenary Bank took on NSSF, captained by CSN’s director of technical, Edson Kakitahi.

It was an end-to-end affair, which at the final whistle saw Centenary Bank edge their opponents by 2-0, goals which were scored in either half. To qualify for the finals, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) team defeated the much-fancied Uganda Breweries Limited by 1-0, while Centenary Bank defeated Stanbic Bank by a similar margin.
In the qualifying stages, Uganda Breweries topped group A with 19 points and were anointed the early ‘champions’ in waiting; however, NSSF, which finished a point below them on 18, sprung a surprise in what was dubbed one of the surprises of the round. “It was a vibrant week for us, Team Cente, at the final outing. Our team showcased true sportsmanship and teamwork in football and Tug of war. We wrapped up the season is style,” the bank’s team manager said.
