Quality Chemicals Industries Limited have been called the Leicester FC of Corporate Sports Network (CSN) football. This is because like Leicester in the English Premier League, they cannot stop winning and are on the cusp of lifting their maiden trophy in football.

As of the October outing, QCIL led the table log with 84 points after 33 games. Close on their heels are Uganda Revenue Authority on 82 points, 2024 defending champions Tropical Bank on 81 points and Uganda Breweries Limited on 80 points.

For QCIL, the coach’s philosophy is simple.  He locks out teams. His solid defence has conceded only 8 goals, while the goal machines have scored an impressive 40 goals.  “Goals win you games but a solid defence wins you titles,” their coach said, after an impressive 4-1 win over fellow title challengers Uganda Revenue Authority at the Jephi University on Sunday.  The team had earlier walloped Coca Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) by 4-1.  A clean sweep on the final day will see them bag one of the most coveted trophies this season.

It is however not a done deal yet. Several other teams have an outside shout on who the football champions 2025 will be.  These include Housing Finance (79 points), Mogo Loans (79 points) Roofings Group (78 points), Hotel Africana (77 points and Vision Group (77 points).

Mired in the relegation zone are Red Cross International, DHL International and Absa Bank.
