The 35 + manager’s football competition at Corporate Sports Network ( CSN) reached the last eight ( Quarterfinals) after a series of qualifying games played on Sunday at the Maroons Prisons grounds Luzira.
After the group stages, Uganda Breweries Limited and Centenary Bank topped group A with 18 and 17 points respectively.
Group B winners were Dfcu Bank and Uganda Revenue Authority ( URA) with 18 and 16 points respectively.
Group C table toppers were Stanbic Bank and NSSF who tied on 19 points respectively. They narrowly edged out Mogo Loans who finished on 18 points. Their 1-0 win against DTB bank on Sunday never helped matters.
To crown the group stages were Uganda Civil Aviation Authority and Quality Chemicals Industries Limited ( Qcil) who tied on 18 points for top honours.
In the Quarterfinals, UBL will play Quality Chemicals Industries Limited while Dfcu plays NSSF. Stanbic Bank will play against Uganda Revenue Authority while Uganda Civil Aviation Authority will crown the tie with a game against Centenary Bank. The games will be contested in the October outing.
