What does it take for a game to be branded the greatest match of all time? It needs to have high quality, great drama, and a befitting climax.
That’s what happened in the “give and take” final between Hotel Africana and Centenary Bank. It was one of the most epic games witnessed at the Corporate Sports Network outing in June.
The game featured two star-packed teams, both at the absolute peak of and playing at their best form during the qualifiers.
The final, cheered by a mammoth crowd, saw players showcase their resilient spirit with the game swinging back and forth. Both teams won one set apiece, but before a solid attack from the backline, a triple block and a service error from Centenary Bank’s talismanic captain saw Hotel Africana clinch the closely contested game.
The skilled and disciplined side managed to beat Centenary Bank with the intent to prove that teamwork makes the dream work.
In third came Housing Finance, who beat Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), who had lost in the other semifinal on the day.
